Advised a major Chinese state-owned mining and metallurgical group on the corporate governance and compliance framework of its South African subsidiary; working with South African counsel, conducted a systematic review of shareholder authority, board independence, internal authorization and controls, data protection, and applicable labour and mining regulations, and assisted with the preparation of a legal opinion, a corporate governance operating manual, and on-site compliance support.
Advised a major Chinese trading and engineering group on the compliance framework for its operations in Dubai; reviewed and updated its Dubai legal compliance manual, provided practical legal analysis on corporate operations, employment matters, and the local legal framework, and supported the client through compliance training, contract review, business compliance advice, dispute prevention, and legal risk alerts.
