Seventeen-Member Peking University Delegation Visits Winson Law Offices

On February 2nd, a delegation of 17 from Peking University visited Winson Law Firm. The meeting was attended by founding partner Ethen Gai, partner Mandy Ma, and intern lawyer Jiang Xinrong, who engaged in a discussion with the delegation.

During the discussion, Gai presented a systematic demonstration and shared insights on "The Legal Business Environment in the UAE under the New Era of China-Arab Relations". In his sharing, he comprehensively introduced the legal system and business environment in the Middle East and Arab world, particularly in the UAE. He also discussed the challenges and issues that Chinese enterprises face when there is insufficient construction of "soft infrastructure" abroad. Furthermore, he delved into how to strengthen foreign-related rule of law and protect the interests of Chinese enterprises.

Jiang Xinrong, an intern lawyer at Winson Law Firm and a graduate student from Peking University Law School, shared her internship experiences with the visiting alumni. She highlighted legal cases where the firm helped Chinese enterprises to defend their interests using legal means, encouraging everyone to embrace global visions, aim high, and contribute their abilities and knowledge to the surge of Chinese enterprises going overseas.

In their concluding remarks, Liu Wen from the Peking University Education Foundation and teacher Huang Yimin stated that the delegation received sponsorship from the Mingde Foundation.

Most members of the delegation were provincial top scorers in the college entrance examination, and this visit marked their first outbound trip since the pandemic. They expressed hope for a comprehensive strengthening of cooperation with Winson Law Firm and invited Ethen Gai to share his insights with students at Peking University at an opportune time. The students in the delegation found the sharing session immensely beneficial, broadening their horizons and enabling them to view the "risks and opportunities" of Chinese enterprises going abroad more dialectically.

After the talks, teacher Liu Wen, representing Peking University, presented gifts to Vinson Law Firm, which were accepted by Gaisen on behalf of the firm.
