Saudi Office of Winson Law Offices Chairs New Chinese Business Legal Committee

On November 24, a delegation consisting of Huang Zhixian (at the ministerial level), Yan Aoshuang (at the vice-ministerial level), Cheng Xueyuan (at the vice-ministerial level), all of whom are members of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) and Deputy Directors of the NPC Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee, paid a visit to Saudi Arabia. Together with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Federation of Chinese Businessmen, the delegation held a forum with overseas Chinese in Saudi Arabia focusing on the "National Legislation Plan on Overseas Chinese Affairs and Overseas Chinese Work". More than 60 overseas Chinese leaders, including representatives from various Chinese business associations, Chinese-funded enterprises and industries in Saudi Arabia, attended the forum.

Xu Jinxu, Director of Beijing Winson Law Firm's Saudi Office, attended the forum as a representative of the Chinese-funded legal industry in Saudi Arabia and delivered a keynote speech. Drawing on Winson's extensive experience in handling overseas Chinese-related cases in Saudi Arabia, Xu summarized and reported on the prominent legal risks currently faced by overseas Chinese in the country. He also put forward relevant legislative suggestions focusing on the topic of "Protection of the Rights and Interests of Overseas Laborers".

After the session where overseas Chinese in Saudi Arabia put forward suggestions, the 1st Legal Work Committee of the Saudi Federation of Chinese Businessmen was officially inaugurated and licensed, with the witness of leaders from the NPC delegation and the Chinese Embassy in Saudi Arabia. The establishment of this committee is a significant measure for the Saudi Federation of Chinese Businessmen to improve its service functions and legal protection system, marking a crucial step forward for the Federation in safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese and Chinese-funded enterprises in accordance with the law. The Legal Work Committee will integrate Chinese and Saudi legal resources, focus on key areas such as compliant operation, risk prevention and control, and dispute resolution, and provide professional and efficient legal support for Chinese businessmen and overseas Chinese in Saudi Arabia.

As the first chair organization of the Legal Work Committee, Winson's Saudi Office will take a high sense of responsibility and mission, take the initiative to take on responsibilities and act actively. It will give full play to its professional advantages in Saudi local legal practice, foreign-related dispute resolution and the connection of Chinese and Saudi laws, deeply participate in the system construction and daily operation of the Legal Work Committee, promote the implementation of services such as legal consultation, compliance guidance, risk early warning and dispute coordination, effectively improve the professionalism and effectiveness of the legal services provided by the Federation of Chinese Businessmen, and provide sustainable and reliable legal protection for the compliant operation and steady development of Chinese-funded enterprises and overseas Chinese in Saudi Arabia.

At the end of the forum, the NPC research group fully affirmed the successful results of the forum, emphasizing that the opinions and suggestions collected this time have injected vivid practical experience from the overseas Chinese community into the legislation on overseas Chinese affairs. It also affirmed the great significance of the establishment of the Legal Work Committee of the Saudi Federation of Chinese Businessmen. The Saudi Federation of Chinese Businessmen and Winson's Saudi Office will continue to follow up the feedback on the opinions and suggestions.
