Volunteer Team of Winson Law Offices Joins 2024 Dubai Chinese Grand Parade

On February 3rd, the 2024 Dubai "Warm Spring Welcome & Happy Chinese New Year" grand parade was grandly held at Burj Park, located beneath the Burj Khalifa. The event was attended by Ambassador Zhang Yiming to the UAE, Consul General Li Xuhang in Dubai, representatives of the UAE government including Prince Maktoum from the Dubai Foreign Affairs Office, members of various royal families from the emirates, people from all walks of life, and a wide participation of the Chinese expatriate community, bringing a festive Lunar New Year atmosphere to Dubai.

Under the unified coordination of the Chinese embassy and consulates in the UAE, as well as the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Gulf Representative Office, Winson Law Firm provided comprehensive legal consultation services throughout the organization of the Chinese New Year parade. In addition, Winson Law Firm mobilized its team of young lawyers and interns to offer volunteer services for the event, contributing to on-site organization, security, and the reception of distinguished guests.

At the event, the volunteer service team from Winson Law Firm arrived at the venue with great enthusiasm, reaching 5 hours before the official start and staying until 6 p.m. The team was divided into three groups:

- Group one was stationed at the Majlis (VIP reception area), where they arranged VIP name tags, presented Chinese red scarves to the guests, and coordinated the dining services for the VIPs.

- Group two guided VIPs from outside the venue and participated in the dragon eye-dotting ceremony, presenting brushes and gold ink to Ambassador Zhang Yiming, Consul General Li Xuhang, representatives of the UAE government including Prince Maktoum, the Director of Dubai Foreign Affairs Office, Deputy Minister of Economy Abdullah, CEO of Dubai Economy and Tourism Kazim, and other members of the UAE royal family.

- Group three was responsible for transporting equipment and materials, coordinating programs, and managing the distribution of VIP gifts.

After the event concluded, staff from the embassy and consulates expressed high praise and heartfelt gratitude to the volunteer service team from Winson Law Firm.

Throughout the event, founder Ethen Gai and managing partner Hank Zhang of Winson Law Firm provided comprehensive legal services. The on-site volunteer team consisted of lawyers from the University of Birmingham, Tang Chengcheng, interns from China University of Political Science and Law Jiang Xiantian, Xu Fangru, Sun Haisong, Li Junyi, Ma Gaochao, Peking University's Jiang Xinrong, and Wuhan University's Chen Haiyi, totaling 8 individuals.
