Founders of Winson Law Offices Join Academic Delegation to University of Sharjah

On the morning of August 3, 2023, Zhao Wenjie and Gaisen, the two founding partners of WINSON Law Firm, accompanied Vice President Chang Baoguo of China University of Political Science and Law on a visit to the University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Professor Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, President of the University of Sharjah, along with various academic leaders, attended the meeting. Both sides reached a consensus on establishing inter-university exchanges and conducting academic research cooperation.

Professor Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, President of the University of Sharjah, warmly welcomed the delegation's visit. He introduced the overall situation of the University of Sharjah, emphasizing its position as a leading academic and research institution in the Middle East. The university boasts the largest law school in the region. He expressed hopes for broad prospects in advancing cooperation between Chinese and UAE legal academia, as well as nurturing international legal talent.

Vice President Chang Baoguo of China University of Political Science and Law highlighted the university's role as the foremost institution for legal education in China. He described its unique strengths in disciplinary development, talent cultivation, academic research, international cooperation, and exchange. He noted that as one of China's earliest and largest law schools, China University of Political Science and Law shares commonalities with the University of Sharjah in educational philosophy, talent development, and academic research. He expressed a desire to broaden the scope of cooperation with the University of Sharjah, innovate collaboration models, and achieve deep cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation and disciplinary innovation.

Both parties expressed gratitude for the introduction by WINSON Law Firm and reached an agreement to sign a memorandum of understanding for inter-university cooperation. They aim to establish a solid foundation for academic exchanges and cooperation in legal studies between China and the UAE.

During the discussions, the University of Sharjah showed keen interest in the proposals put forward by WINSON Law Firm, such as jointly conducting legal training for Chinese-funded enterprises in the UAE and enhancing exchanges between Chinese-funded enterprises and the legal community in the UAE. They also expressed anticipation for increased communication and cooperation with WINSON Law Firm.
