On April 4, 2023, Ethen Gai, a partner at Winston Partnersand Legal Consultants, delivered a lecture titled "One Belt, One Road andthe Middle East: My Experience as a Lawyer in Dubai" at his alma mater,China University of Political Science and Law. He had face-to-face exchangeswith faculty and students, and Vice President Chang Bao, of China University ofPolitical Science and Law, attended the lecture and discussed cooperationmatters such as internship and training bases.

China University of Political Science and Law is a keyuniversity under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education ofChina. It is known for its excellence in the field of law and is a participantin the "Project 211" and "Project 985" for key universities.The university, jointly established by the Ministry of Education and theBeijing Municipality, is dedicated to building a world-class university andfirst-class disciplines. During the lecture, Ethen Gai provided a brief introductionto Dubai's geographical, economic, and legal environment, explained thepolitical environment, legal system, and dispute resolution in the United ArabEmirates in detail, and compared the litigation systems of China and Dubai,drawing on the business activities and typical cases handled by WinstonPartners. He also discussed the demand of the United Arab Emirates for Chineselawyers and legal service professionals, providing inspiration and advice forstudents' future legal careers.

The lecture lasted for 90 minutes. Ethen Gai used humorousand concise language, along with vivid photos and videos, to showcase Dubai'spresent and anticipate future opportunities and challenges. During theinteractive session, Ethen Gai patiently and meticulously addressed questionsregarding internships, employment, salaries, social security, and the status ofwomen in Dubai.

The students who attended the lecture expressed that theygained a new understanding of Dubai and the Middle East and were inspired toconsider internships and jobs in Dubai. Lawyer Lei Ding, the representative ofWinston Partners and Legal Consultants' Beijing office, also attended thelecture.
