On June 17, the grand inauguration and unveiling ceremony of Winson Law Firm's South Africa office was held. This marks the second branch established on the African continent under Winson's global strategy, following the Egypt office, and represents an important step in deepening Winson's strategic positioning of "rooted in the Middle East, radiating across Africa, serving the world."
Winson's global offices in Dubai, Riyadh, Cairo, Beijing, Shanghai, and others joined simultaneously via video link to witness the official launch of the South Africa office. Founding partners Wenjie Zhao and Sen Ge attended the ceremony and delivered speeches, while South Africa Office Director Hunghan Howard Teng gave his inaugural address. In the presence of all Winson staff, both parties completed the signing, and the South Africa office was officially declared open.

Prior to the inauguration ceremony, from May 25 to 27, founding partners Wenjie Zhao and Sen Ge, along with Egypt Office Director Gongpu Xiang, traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa, to meet with Hunghan Howard Teng and core team members. They held in-depth discussions on key topics including African regional business development pathways, a localized talent cultivation system, and cross-border legal collaboration service models.
They precisely identified the pain points in legal needs of Chinese-funded enterprises expanding into South Africa and set a clear development direction of deeply cultivating the African market and radiating across southern Africa. At the same time, Wenjie Zhao and Sen Ge, together with Hunghan Howard Teng, visited the Chinese Embassy in South Africa and jointly called on South African branches of Chinese state-owned and central enterprises such as BAIC Group, State Grid Corporation, and Sinosteel.
The South Africa office is headed by Hunghan Howard Teng, who has joined the Winson global network along with his core team. Nearly ten or more Chinese Lawyers who have been long rooted in South Africa have collectively integrated into Winson's legal services network. This team has cultivated the South African market for nearly a decade, with an office located in the core Sandton area of Johannesburg.
